On the Road: Hong Kong

You can hear the clock ticking in Hong Kong. The streets pulse with disconcertingly fast traffic and  fuzzy human traffic. People don't smile very often and constantly strike the highest notes in their vocal chords. Impatient and intolerant, they work with sheer speed and focus and are among the most industrious people, albeit looking listless.

But if half of the city is fast-moving and action-frenzied, the other half of Hong Kong abounds with solitude and peace. In the parks, next to the water, in clean and comfortable passages, inside air-conditioned subway cars, you'll find the city's quietude and its silent charms. This album is an attempt to capture those charms.
